My thoughts on Star travel…
There are many Dimensions to this Universe.
Our being is made up of many Dimensions as well.
Each Dimension has its own laws to govern it.
This Physical one demands the most.
Within Time and Space we find a sanctuary.

Earth is our sanctuary as well as our home.
With Billions of stars in our Galaxy. We sit among
many other Life supporting Planets in our Milky Way.
Our science is still young compared to some Planets,
yet is more advanced than others.

Life is spread throughout the Galaxy like flowers are spread in a field or a Meadow.
Their are many blossoms, Some closer and some further apart.
Older civilizations would have the ability to star Travel.
To travel from one star system to another, even other Galaxies, in a flash.
This of course will not be done with rockets.

Rockets are bound to the physical boundaries of the universe.
This Vessel would have the ability to ascend the matter of the ship into an encapsulated
energy ball that can quantum leaps to where ever it chooses in the universe.
Then re-assimilate back into physical form. just in time for dinner with your Inter-Galactic Neighbors.

I could spend the next three days listing the benefits of forgetfulness but Ive forgotten most of them. 

 I sometimes think that human memory is something like a boiling pot of stew.  When the pot is filled halfway the stew (that is swept up in the currents of the pot (my metaphor for a heuristic structure of knowingwith apologies to Bernard Lonergan)) runs efficiently with carrots rising to the top in unison with the other vegetables.  But when the pot becomes too full and unable to process all the elements of the stew some elements cannot rise up to the top.  The boil runs but not efficiently.  More vegetables are loaded into the pot every day of course.  Every time I get a phone call or email Im adding a few elements.  The deeper the stew becomes the less I can recall. 

The boil is a reflective activity of consciousness organizing past memories and making conscious judgments about them.  The boil is also in many cases the process that blocks deep recollection. 

 The only way to allow the deep elements of memory to resurface is to stop the boil and let the trace elements of the depth float back to the top.  (Dreams are an aberration of the process.  The boil is of a different sort; a deep mixing unencumbered by the conventions of the day to day world.)

Every morning I have the same routine.  Get up, go downstairs to make some coffee, throw on the old Cossack Hat with black trench coat and take the dogs out for a walk.  I take each one seperate.  Bam Bam is first because he eats so much more that I am sure he needs to go the most.  Then Pebbles.  I have been doing this each morning for the past year and a half.  I know instinctively when each dog is getting ready to go.  I have no cognitive recognition just a simple intuitive impulse to put my hand into a plastic sack and wait patiently by the arched figures of the dogs.  The dogs are not embarrassed by the act and neither am I.  If Barack Obama or Sophia Loren walked by I would think nothing of it.  Oh yeah I may say, “Good Morning Mr. Obama or Nice Jugs Ms. Loren,” but I would feel comfortable in the warm cocoon of dog and master ‘Being With The World’ with my beloved pet.  After the dogs excrete I reach down with plastic bag on hand and humbly pick up the warm morsel with the words ‘Good Dog’.  It feels warm in my hand and typically it is a cold morning.  I feel good doing it and often look up to see the Sun peaking over the horizon bringing his warm embrace to my little Suburbia.  All is warm.  The Golden Gift in hand, the Sun above, and the loved ritual of walking the dog. 

Love is what you make it.  And if you live with Love you may become just that.
